Who am I

Storytelling through chaos, shaped into intent.

My name is Nick Wilschut, I'm born in 2003 and I'm a musician and designer from the Netherlands. Being graduated from Communication and Multimedia design at Avans University of applied science, I specialize in social, critical, visual and sound design.

I also play, write and produce music for several bands, such as The Electric Jellyfish, my solo albums and PΣЯMΣΛTOЯ. I've done most of the artwork/social media visuals for these bands.

Explore
A community event designed to give the residents of Breda something they actually needed, rather than another digital billboard from the municipality in the city centre. The premise of this project came from a recurring signal: a wide range of Breda residents expressed that they felt a growing lack of connection, as society slowly shifts towards increasing individualism. In response, we worked as a team to conceive and build the Explore Festival.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, I felt really bad and stuck as a musician and performer. So, I came up with the idea of making an online festival. Together with an awesome team we managed to pull this off in a theatre in Dordrecht, South Holland and got a lot of artists performing and a ton of people at home watching.

The DNA of Who I Am
AI is the new buzzword. Everyone has an opinion about it, and most agree it's flawed now but will fix everything soon. Dystopia now, utopia around the corner.

But while the debate stays focused on creativity, jobs and ethics, we're missing where AI will have its most immediate impact: our relationships. Not just with each other, but with technology itself. What are these new ways of relating to AI?
